“Pop along for a glass of wine” at Resurrection Church on Monday evening 14 November, says Pastor Chris Ponniah, and benefit three charities. Alternatively visit the church for coffee and cake on Tuesday 15 November mid-day. The church is holding a Feel Good Fair where you can buy Christmas gifts with good conscience.
Ten per cent of all proceeds will go to the church’s Mission Fund, supporting Inner City Ministries, Christian Action in Qinghai and Hope House Centre in Cambodia. Inner City Ministries targets oppression caused by poverty among mostly Nepalese in Hong Kong. Christian Action, run by Ho Chung resident Cheung Ang Siew-mei, operates five children’s homes on the Tibetan plateau, a rehab centre for disabled kids and rural clinics and schools. Hope House Centre serves orphans in Cambodia where there are believed to be about 570,000 rendered parentless by disease, war, mine explosions or malnutrition.
Presents you can buy for family and friends at Resurrection Church on November 13 and 14 include ethically sourced jewellery, bags, homeware, treats and beauty products.
Rev. Ponniah invites you for drinks on Monday 6:30 – 9:00 pm at Pak Sha Wan Centre or coffee the following day between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
